The injury was so severe that it was threatening to cause paralysis. Without any prior fitness education or personal training experience, James spear headed the development that would address the injury and assist his co-worker into making a complete recovery. What started as an unfortunate circumstance, quickly developed into something much larger than he could ever imagine. He began to recognize that he was gifted with the natural ability of developing strategies, concepts, ideas and fitness programs that would transcend our traditional education, understanding and perspective of how we identify with health and wellness.

Since that time, James has established major partnerships with big name brands such as; Results the Gym, and American Health Care Professionals.  He also created an equitable relationship with DC Public Charter Schools and District Reign FC. In each venture, he designed programs that encouraged participants from all walks of life to look inwards, dig deep, and make transformational changes that would not only lead to physical development, but the overall evolution of the mental, spiritual and emotional elements of Health and Wellness as well.

Additionally, he has over 20 years of experience as a strength and of conditioning coach, with people and athletes of all levels. He has received a national certification from the American Council on Exercise (ACE), and developed several major cutting-edge programs, which have helped folks manage anxiety, stress, depression, and aggression. He has also developed overall development programs for the mentally and physically disabled throughout DC, Maryland, and Virginia.

James Livingston is a native Washingtonian, and has a huge heart for the city and the people. When he’s not providing strength and conditioning services, or managing similar programs he enjoys spending time with his family, mentoring youth in the community, and enjoying the overall culture of what Washington DC has to offer.
